Privacy Policy

Seawish is an anonymous note-exchange app. It is built to collect as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no names and no profiles. This policy explains what we process, why, and the choices you have.
No account, anonymous identity
You never sign up. On first launch the app creates an anonymous identity (via Supabase anonymous authentication) that lives on your device. It is a random ID — not linked to your name, email or phone number. You can move this identity to a new phone with an in-app transfer code, and you can delete it at any time.
What we process
- Note text you write and the notes delivered to you.
- Anonymous device identity (the random ID above).
- Push token, if you enable notifications, so we can notify you when a note arrives.
- Coarse location at the country level only, derived from your device language, time zone and region — never precise GPS location.
- Notification and quiet-hours settings, and your notification frequency.
- Your blocked words and blocked senders, so we can filter what reaches you.
- Subscription status (whether Seawish Plus is active).
We do not collect your name, email, address, phone number, contacts, photos or advertising identifier (IDFA).
Why we process it
To deliver notes between strangers, keep the community safe through moderation, send the notifications you asked for, provide Seawish Plus, and understand anonymous, aggregate usage so we can improve the app.
Who processes data on our behalf

How long we keep it
- Notes delivered to you: 90 days, unless you keep them.
- Notes you sent: kept until you delete them with “Delete all my data”.
- Translation logs: 7 days.
Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)
You have the right to access and to delete your data. The fastest way to delete everything is in the app: Settings → Delete all my data, which removes every note you sent and found. For access requests, or if you can’t use the app, email privacy@seawish.app.
Children
Seawish is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
